MAI MOLONEY MONUMENT OFFICIAL UNVEILING

The official unveiling of the Mai Moloney monument will take place this coming Friday in Knockcarron. The unveiling will be done by Mai’s only son, Chris Clair. The 86 year old will be travelling from the UK for the occasion.

A talk will be given by historian and author Angela Hennessy from Kilfinane, with proceedings overseen by Cllr Eddie Ryan, who together with Tom Toomey and Charlie Richardson spearheaded the campaign for the monument.

Mai Moloney was a key member of Cuman na mBan and actively assisted in the rescue of Sean Hogan. The unveiling will take place in Knockcarron on Friday evening at 7pm. All are welcome.
