Bike Week is a celebration and promotion of the benefits of cycling. This year, Bike Week will kick off on Saturday, May 14th and end on Sunday, May 22nd.
Locally, the Ballyhoura Mountains are the natural choice for those travelling on two wheels, and Ballyhoura Trailriders are offering free ‘Come and Try Mountain Biking’ during the week.
The Barnagh Greenway Hub near Abbeyfeale features heavily in the schedule of events for the week for Limerick, as does the Waterford Greenway. Lismore Heritage Centre promises to educate interested parties in Bike Orienteering during the week. Sunday, 22nd May sees the

Intriguingly, Cork County Council are party to an event whereby local councillors, engineers and active travel officers will be invited to try out predetermined routes in their area during National Bike Week 2022. An enquiry has been submitted to Cork County Council to see if north Cork is a planned destination for any cycling council employees.
On the same week, the local authority in Cork are holding Bike Week Cork, and both new and devoted cyclists across the county are invited to join in and consider making cycling part of their daily routine, from a convenient way to commute to work, to school trips and leisure activities.
