Successful flag day for Fermoy Tidy Towns

-

Fermoy Tidy Towns Group would sincerely like to thank all those who supported their flag day which took place on Saturday last and helped to make it a great success.

All the volunteers and everyone else who helped in the collection were also thanked by the group as without their help, they would not have been able to have the collection.

Fermoy Tidy Towns would also like to thank all the businesses who allowed them to collect outside their premises.

The support shown by everyone has been greatly appreciated and the money collected will go a long way in helping the group keep Fermoy clean and looking beautiful, especially with the Tidy Towns competition coming up shortly.

The group can only do so much so that is why they are appealing to people living in housing estates and other areas of the town to help in keeping their areas clean and tidy.

If you see rubbish in your own area, why not go out and pick it up and bin it and not just leave it to the council workers or Tidy Towns volunteers to do it.

If we all do our bit, it will make the work load much easier for everyone.

Fermoy Tidy Towns group are looking for volunteers all of the time and if you can give an hour of your time on Wednesday evenings at 7pm, you are more than welcome to come along.

For more information on the group, you can contact Noel McCarthy on (086) 3751736 or Paul Kavanagh on (086) 2620630.

The more bodies, the better!
