Maternity Hospital still birth agreement

-

Dear Editor, Some good deeds in the past do not wipe away all other egregious actions by the Sisters. Neither do past good deeds have any bearing on the future direction of maternity care in this country. The key question is who is insisting on this hold on the land by the Sisters and what they have to gain besides effective control.

... 299 years is represented as ‘as good as sale’ then make it 2,999,999 years. The real issue is control and potential for huge financial gain by St Vincent’s Trust/The Sisters at the expense yet again of the ordinary taxpayer if the state changes as much as a hair in the USE the land is put to. This agreement, so called, is a lawyer’s gold charter.

Compulsory purchase or a green field site owned by the State is the only practical solution failing the gift or sale of the land to the State now.
