-

Our intermediate hurlers play Ballybacon-Grange in the final round of the Co. League on Saturday afternoon May 14th at 4.30pm in Goatenbridge. After four wins from four, the team lies top of the table with the final round to be played and in a good position to progress to the knockout stages.

Entry to the game will be free of charge, so please come along and support the lads if you can.

In the other group in Division 4, the table is being topped currently by Borrisokane and Boherlahan-Dualla on 7 points a-piece after three wins and a draw against each other. Heading into the final round this weekend Borrisokane are ahead on scoring difference at the top of the table.

GOOD WIN FOR U17 HURLERS ON MONDAY

Our U17 hurlers had a good win on Monday night against Clonmel

Og in Ballyporeen on a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-12 in round 2 of the South-West Hurling League. After a very unlucky defeat to Lattin Gaels in round 1 by a single point on a scoreline of 2-16 to 2-15 the previous week, this has been a very good start to their hurling year so far in the B grade.

Their final game will be against Clonoulty-Rossmore and a win could allow progression to the knockout stages. Well done to all involved and keep up the good work.

CONGRATULATIONS AND BEST WISHES

Congratulations to Charlie English who was part of the Tipperary Minor football team to win the phase 1 final of the Munster Football Championship (Daryl Darcy Cup) last Thursday night in Mallow.

Charlie capped off a great week by winning the Munster U16.5 Football Championship with Mitchelstown CBS the following day along with clubmates Sam McGrath, Josh Kearney, Oisin Power, Tomas McLoughlin and Corey O’Gorman. Well done to all involved.

Best wishes also to Conor Sweeney on Saturday night as the Tipperary Senior footballers take on Limerick in the second semi-final of the Munster championship this Saturday night at 7pm in Semple Stadium. It would be great to see Conor lead the Tipp charges back into a Munster final again.
