Teeing up for club classic

-

Our annual fund-raising Club Classic takes part again this year on Thursday 12th and Friday, 13th May after 2 years of absence due to Covid - life is slowly returning to normal.

This is one of our major fund-raising events of the year. Our thanks go out to our numerous generous sponsors. Our main sponsor for the event this year is Kerrygold Park but we have many other businesses and individuals who have entered teams, sponsored tees and provided raffle prizes. Once again we would like to remind members and all participants in the event to be mindful of, and support our sponsors throughout the year. I am sure the event will be a success thanks to the hard work, time spent, and efforts of our club classic committee – well done folks.

At the time of going to press weather conditions are predicted to be good – hopefully our luck will prevail. Our course is in excellent condition at present thanks in no small part to the efforts of our ground staff and we hope all members and visitors will have an enjoyable day out. Food is provided after play and presentation of prizes will be approx. 10pm on Friday night.

There a still a few vacant slots available if any members or visitors wish to enter – please contact Dolores on 025-24072. For those who have already arranged tee times please try to turn up in adequate time to allow due processing of cards and for shotgun starters at 5pm on Friday please allow adequate time to get out to your tee – thanks and good luck to all – enjoy your round!

NEW MEMBERSHIP

For those wishing to take up golf we welcome enquiries about membership. The longer hours of daylight allow increased footfall on our fairways (and sometimes through our trees). Golf has been erroneously described as “a good walk spoiled” – we refute this and regard it as a good walk enhanced! For those interested please phone Dolores on 025-24072.
