The Avondhu

Friday night coaching continues

-

A new 5 week term of coaching aimed at beginners and new members began last Friday, 6th May from 7-8pm. We had a full turnout on what was a nice evening. The feedback from the members was very positive, with our coach Willie Cussen teaching the skills and technique of tennis to the group. Keep up the good work everyone!

BEGINNER TEEN TENNIS

The beginner teen tennis class for members started last Friday, 6th May 6-7pm. This will run for five weeks. We encourage any new teenaged members to take part, learn the skills of the game while meeting up with other members. It would be a great way to get started in the sport.

CLUB NIGHT

Our weekly club night continues this coming Friday night, May 13th at 8pm. It’s a sociable, casual, fun night of tennis, intended for members to meet other members and mix up to play doubles. It is open to all members. Anyone interested is encouraged to come along.

SATURDAY JUNIOR MATCHPLAY

Every Saturday during school term, there will be match play practice for juniors. This is to help the juniors understand tennis matches, scoring, court etiquette, rules etc. At 2pm, it will be for ages 5-7. At 3pm, it will be for ages 8-12. These sessions do not replace the coaching on Wednesday’s and the courts will be adult supervised. Numbers are limited, so registration is required at yourcourts.com.
