Fermoy tops at IJKA Irish Open

-

Congratulations to Fermoy Karate Club on being the top club at the IJKA Irish Open Karate Championships which were held at the Loreto Sports Complex in Fermoy last Sunday.

IJKA Secretary Sensei Joe Hunter presented the Sensei Jess Pablo Memorial Shield to Senseis Alison Hennessy and Rebecca Walsh. There was a great turnout at the championships and after two years of lockdown ... Karate had an Ippon over Covid.

A big thank you to all the students and instructors from the different associations who competed, to Loreto Secondary School for the use of their magnificent complex and finally our own club members who competed and helped to make the competition a great success once again. It’s back to training to prepare for the next outing ...

Keep practicing and until next week Osu.
