Last Sunday morning in ideal weather conditions we played our penultimate game in the county senior football league at home to Kilsheelan.

We recorded a very comprehensive win on a scoreline of 2-16 to 1-05. The lads played well from start to finish and can be very pleased with their performance.

Although both sides were missing some regulars, it gave a chance to selectors to use their full panel and a chance for players to put their hands up for a place on the starting fifteen.

We have Rockwell Rovers to play in our last game and a win here would see us qualify for the semi-finals. Training is going well and the lads are putting in a decent effort.

Team - J English, T Martin, O Brennan, S O’Callaghan, A Crotty, (0-1), J O’Callaghan, K Mahoney, T Sweeney, (0-3), R O’Callaghan (0-1), T Vaughan, A English (1-3), O’Sullivan (0-2), R Hennessy (1-1), D Brennan (0-2) C English (0-3). Subs used - N Vaughan, T Mahoney, G Walsh, E Hickey and S Lynch.

Well done to young Charlie English who lined out for the Tipperary minor football team last week against Limerick. Charlie is getting his just rewards for all his hard work and dedicated over the years.

Tipp will now go on to play the losers of Cork and Kerry in the Munster semi-final so best of luck to all concerned.

Also we send our best wishes to Conor Sweeney who will captain Tipperary this Saturday night in Semple stadium as they face Limerick for the right to play Kerry in the Munster senior football final, again best of luck to Conor and Tipp.
