Lisa speaks at Fermoy Active Retirement meeting
Fermoy Active Retirement next group meeting will be held on Wednesday, 18th May at 2.30pm in Fermoy Youth Centre. Guest on the day will be Donagh Cronin, Irish Examiner 2021 photographer of the Year. Whose presentation will include many slides of his work.
Our last meeting had a capacity audience including some new members. Lisa O’Brien, our guest speaker, delivered a very calming and informative lecture on the many benefits of Reiki, Indian Head Massage and using only natural supplement to find the path towards a more fulfilled abundant life. Many thanks Lisa.
Our choir are back on the road once again, ready to entertain the residences of care homes in the area. Monday, 16th May at 2.30 their vocals will be heard at Amberly Nursing Home, much to the delight of the residents. Choir practice takes place at the Resource Centre, Fermoy on Mondays. New members always most welcome.
Kurling, next play Tuesday, 17th May at 10.30am (note time change) and every alternate Tuesday thereafter, new players most welcome. Great fun, good exercise, just €2 incl tea/coffee and nibbles. Do come along an give it a try, at the Youth Centre. Our last session was very competitive, results as follows: Kilworth (A) 3 points. Fermoy (A) 2 points.
KNITTING FOR MARYMOUNT HOSPICE CANCER CARE
Claire Lombard a long standing member of our group informed us that the sum of €3,745.85 has been raised through the chicken knitting project, Claire has made a major contribution to this very worthy cause, both as a knitter and organiser take a bow Claire. New knitters always needed, work may be done at home or as an organised group at the library a very worthy cause indeed, do give it a go.
