Local groups share in Community Actives Fund
The 2021 Community Actives Fund recipients for County Cork have been announced in the last week, with €312,599 awarded to groups throughout the county. The successful applicants for funding from Limerick to the tune of €305,884 was announced previously, with the details of the Waterford and Tipperary projects yet to be announced.

LIMERICK
The successful projects in Limerick were announced previously, and include €3,822.92 to Anglesborough Community Council for maintenance and running costs. Ballinvreena Community received €3,337 for painting and running costs, while Ballylanders Development Association received €2,058.20 for running costs.
Glenroe Hall Committee were awarded €1,482 towards running costs, while the Tidy Towns group received €350 for gardening equipment.
Kilbehenny Community Centre were awarded €3,564.50, with Knocklong’s Development Association receiving €3,102.
Funding of €9 million is available nationally to support groups, particularly those in disadvantaged areas with their running costs. It is a onceoff fund provided by the Department of Rural and Community Development and was opened to applications last November.
