HIKE FOR HOPE THIS MAY TO SUPPORT YOUNG PEOPLE’S MENTAL HEALTH
Jigsaw, the youth mental health charity, are asking people to come together and hike to bring hope to young people facing challenges with their mental health.
Hike for Hope is a virtual fundraising challenge to raise funds for Jigsaw that will take place from Friday, 27 May to Sunday, 29 May. Organised in collaboration with Scout volunteers from across Ireland, Hike for Hope is free, and you can sign up online.
Jigsaw, who give advice and support to help young people aged 12–25 years-old, believe in an Ireland where every young person’s mental health is valued and supported, with both online and in our services around the country.
“Young people need hope, and our help, now more than ever. We need to spread hope in our communities and show young people that their communities value and support their mental health. We’re asking the whole of Ireland to get out and about and show our young people hope by Hiking for Hope and supporting Jigsaw!” said Michelle Comer of the ‘Hike for Hope’ organising team.
All ages and all abilities can take part. Join in as an individual, with family, friends, your scout group, schoolmates, colleagues, anyone! Choose a hike or trail to complete and challenge yourself over the weekend of the Friday, 27 to Sunday, 29 May.
When you sign up at jigsaw.ie/hikeforhope, you will receive your personalised iDonate fundraising page and ‘Hope Pack’, which includes your Jigsaw t-shirt. You will also receive ongoing support and fundraising advice from the Jigsaw team. All funds raised go to Jigsaw and their work supporting young people’s mental health. Take on the challenge!
