Local producer hits the shelves nationally
Hanley’s Puddings in Mitchelstown are to enjoy some further success and countrywide exposure as their award-winning black and white pudding roulade is to hit shelves in Aldi stores nationally from today.
They are one of 24 suppliers out of nearly 200 applicants who will see their products go on sale at 150 of the multinational’s stores nationwide across a two-week period. Following this, up to six of the most successful suppliers will go on to further development. Previously, the company took part in a SuperValu Academy programme to get their pudding on the shelves with the supermarket.
Anthony Considine said they were ‘absolutely thrilled’ to be participating in the scheme. Founded in 1957, Anthony Hanley is making his puddings with a 150year old family recipe, and the butchers supply gluten-free versions of their puddings too.
