RAISE THE ROOF

The raffle to ‘Raise the Roof’ for the developmen­t of the Storehouse, in the village is still ongoing. Tickets are €50 each or 3 for €100. Another way might be to get a group of 3 friends or family together to purchase 3 tickets (€33 each). Tickets are available in An Siopa Beag, The Log Cabin, An Síbín and St Michael’s hall. They are also available from Gobnait Branagh, Noreen Barry, Eimear Byrne, Karen Frewen, Siobhán Flynn, Lesley Fennessy, Agnes O’Donoghue and Denise Walsh. Or you can purchase online via the link on the Storehouse social media pages or by using the QR code on the posters out in the wider community. The draw will take place on Sunday, 19th June during the festival.

CONGRATULA­TIONS!!

Many congratula­tions to Ballyduff Drama Group who came first in the All-Ireland Drama Festival in Athlone. Congratula­tions also to Ger Canning for winning Best Director. There were many nomination­s for Ballyduff including Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Stage Setting and Best Stage Management. The group also won the Abbey Theatre Award which will see them perform in the Abbey Theatre in the near future. Well done to all involved!!

Saturday, 18th June, there are adventures on the river in conjunctio­n with MGC Kayaks. More informatio­n on this to follow but for now, note that spaces will be limited.

Also on Saturday, 18th music in St Michael’s Hall.

Saturday 24th June, is Ladies Night at the Log Cabin with a Gin and Pizza Night (with an Italian twist) all while dancing to Mike Sheehan.

OFFICE HUB

BUS SERVICE

The bus service is still available in the village. Please call Austin O’Brien on 087-2256666 to book your space. On Friday, it goes to Dungarvan, departs River Action at 9.30am and leaves Dungarvan circa 2pm.

Every second Tuesday it alternates to Youghal or Midleton, departing River Action at 9.30am and leaves the destinatio­n at 1pm.

This service is run by Local Link, free for those with a travel pass and €5 for anyone else.

LOTTO

The numbers drawn on 10th May were 6, 13, 16 and 27. There was no winner. The lucky €30 draw winners were Erin Flynn, Ed Molumphy, Patrick Murphy and Emma McNamara. The results from the draw on 17th May with a jackpot of €3,300 next week.
