Friends of Dean and Padraig celebrate 1 year together
In May 2021 Kieran McGann representing Castlelyons GAA approached our group to invite all local children with special/ additional needs to attend a Gaelic football session in the main pitch.
From that hour on our local GAA pitch we couldn’t have predicted what an impact that kind gesture would have on our community and our fledgling group. We soon realised that this group would become bigger than anyone had anticipated.
Children and parents began coming from near and far, making the weekly trip to Castlelyons GAA pitch to participate in an hour of fun and games with an emphasis being put on support and inclusion for each individual child and most of all to make it enjoyable.
We must take this opportunity to thank Kieran and all at Castlelyons GAA for all their support, help and kindness in our first year together.
Friends of Dean and Padraig would like to thank our coaches Simon Barry and George Leetch and all our amazing volunteers for their incredible work who give up their time each week to provide such a fantastic experience for each child.
A huge thank you to all the parents of the participants of the group for your continued support and help in what we try to achieve.
Last but certainly not least, thank you so much to the community of Castlelyons and surrounding parishes who have supported our group from day one, you have been unbelievable and we will be forever indebted to you all. We could not have achieved what we have without the support of everyone, go raibh míle maith agat.
CÚL EILE CAMP BACK IN CASTLELYONS THIS JULY

EXTRA COACHES NEEDED
