Decky wins scratch cup

-

Last Sunday a few Fermoy players travelled to St Stephens to play in the scratch cup. The weather was spectacular and the course was in fantastic condition. It was a great day for Decky Freeman, winning the overall prize after a 3 hole playoff and winning by 1 shot. Well done to him. Daniel Keohane won the best 18 hole senior prize.

LADIES REPORT

On Tuesday, 10th May the ladies played a fourball sponsored by Terry Cleary and Nell McCarthy. These two ladies are very hard working members of the ladies committee and also avid gardeners, which showed in their choice of prizes which were freshly planted flowers in beautiful pots. Needless to say all the ladies were eager to play well. It was the in-form Noreen Ryan who was runner up in the Cork county strokeplay playing a crossed card with her partner Kathleen Grumbridge taking the overall prize. Second nett Noreen Ryan and Ann Daly. Well done ladies.

Terry and Nell congratulated the winners and thanked all the ladies for supporting their competition. Best of luck to all the teams who are competing in the threeball scramble on Sunday, 22nd May. The lady captain

Michelle Flynn will send out a text in the next few weeks with a date for the next ladies committee meeting.
