Kerry 1- 16 Cork 0-5

Kerry were very easy winners over Cork in the Munster MFC at Austin Stack Park Tralee last Thursday evening. From the start the winners dominated in vital sectors. Both sides tried the short passing but it was the Kingdom who did better with key players Jack Clifford and Cormac Dillon excelling.

Cormac Dillon had the winners’ goal in the 23rd minute after good play by Paddy Lane and Fionn Murphy. Cork led 0-3 to 0-2 after 15 minutes, however at half-time, Kerry were well ahead by 1-6 to 0-3.

Cork were unable to make any real progress on the changeover. Early points by Cormac Dillon, John Burke and Darren Allman set the Kingdom on their way. Cork, who had just two points in the second half, failed to score from play over the hour. Long before the final whistle Kerry were through to the final in June. Cork now meet Tipperary in the semi-final this Thursday, with the winner facing Kerry in the decider.
