Great skills on display

U10 BOYS

We have had a busy two weeks. Last Saturday we took part in the U10 Ballyduff hurling tournament where we played matches against Lismore, Killeagh, St Catherine’s and Kilworth. They were all very competitive games with good skills on show, but the opposition teams proved to be a little better than us on the day.

Well done boys on trying your best and representing your club so well and we thank Ballyduff for a very successful tournament. This week we returned to football and travelled to Ballincollig for two matches on Saturday. It was a great display by all in very competitive games. Well done boys. Keep an eye on texts for this week’s plan for matches and training please.

U11S BOYS

We are after a few busy weeks of matches in both hurling and football. Our boys have shown real improvement this year and are now really playing as a team and are going from strength to strength.

Our most recent match was on

Saturday, 21st May, away to a strong Shanballymore team. We were slow to start and Shanballymore dominated the first half. However, the second half was a completely different story with our boys playing as a real unit.

This half was played with much more urgency, more kick outs were won and there was much more accurate passing.

This all led to great attacking play with some great scores being taken and Fermoy finishing the stronger. A real team effort and every player should be very proud of themselves. Well done all!

UNDER 12 BOYS

We played our penultimate Grading Hurling match last Monday evening and were unlucky to lose by a point. In a closely fought game that ebbed and flowed. We had some great performers on the day.

We play our final grading game on this Monday away to Killavullen. Training continues on Wednesday from 6 to 7pm on back pitch and Saturday mornings in Colman’s from 10 to 11am.
