The Avondhu

U14s take the win

-

Our U14 footballers had a great win over Clyda Rovers on Wednesday night last at home. Final score Kildorrery 3-08 Clyda Rovers 2-03.

The boys gave a great football display and produced some great scores from play. While the score line reflects a dominant display from our forwards and midfielders, the foundation were laid by a solid defence and goalkeeping unit. Well done boys. We are now through to the final v Mayfield on 13th June.

THANK YOU

Thanks to the Collins family for their support in providing additional playing space to the club. This new training ground is a very welcome space and a massive resource for our club. The entrance to the training ground is through a gate located right beside the hurling wall. Please be advised that this training space can only be used during training times under supervision of coaches.

FESTIVAL PLANS

As we write our Festival Committee are in the process of getting ready for our festival weekend on the first weekend of July. With lots of activities planned for the weekend there will be a great degree of variety and crack on the weekend. Friday nights activities will require volunteers from the club and it would be great to have members of the club volunteer for the evening, with Saturday and Sunday night requiring people to steward. If you wish to take part please contact any of the club officers or Eamonn McCarthy.

REQUEST FROM FESTIVAL COMMITTEE

An appeal to any members that have old paper clips or festival programs or any other piece of information regarding Kildorrery over the last 50 years. The festival committee would like to get it and copy it and it will be returned to them again immediately. Please contact Eamonn McCarthy or any member of the committee thanks.
