Lismore U14 county football champions

-

A wise old man once said, ‘county titles don’t come around that often but when they do you grab them with both hands’. Such was the case at the Cappoquin venue last Saturday afternoon as the Lismore U14s brought home some much needed silverware.

In the opening fifteen minutes Brickey Rangers had one hand on this Cup but Lismore, aided by some fine individual displays, got to grips with what the opposition were throwing at them and were totally dominant in the second half. Such was the disappointment after last year’s defeat to The Nire, Lismore were not going to let another chance pass them by. Final score: Lismore 5-07 Brickey Rangers 0-07.

We would like to thank Bord na nÓg for officiating this fixture and also Cappoquin GAA who were hosts to the final.

Team: Mickey Lyons, Callum Moore, Shane Landers, George Morrisson, Rory Nugent, Callum Kingston, Adam Cummins, Ethan King, Paddy Whelan, Ben McCormack, Joe Tarmey, Sean Houlihan, Michael O’Gorman, Ruaidhri Duffin (capt), Ben Barry, Tadgh Ormond, Jerry Morrisson, Jack Byrne, Daniel Whelan.
