Our Intermediate hurlers secured a 0-22 to 0-20 win over Borrisokane in the first round of the County division 3 group 2 Hurling League on St Patrick’s Day. After persistent rain last week, our home field was unplayable and the fixture was moved to Borrisokane on the morning of the game.

The home side were much improved in the second period and reduced the deficit to three points with time almost up. After being awarded a 20-metre free, they pointed when going for goal to leave the final score at 0-22 to 0-20. Our scorers in the second period were Tomás Vaughan 0-03 (0-03f), Tommy Sweeney 0-02 and James Hackett 0-01.
