Tickets for the social are selling as we speak and will be on sale until this Thursday evening at 9pm. The social takes place this Friday, March 24th in Springfort Hall and promises to be a great night.

Tickets are €40 apiece and are on sale from Centra, Thornhills, the community office and the post office. Tickets can also be sourced from Brenda Coughlan if you wish to call her and book tickets. Please ensure you are not disappoint­ed by getting your tickets on time. thanks to all in advance.

If you are part of the Junior Camogie Championsh­ip and League Champions team, the U21 LGFA County Champions or the 1981 County Intermedia­te football team please make sure to get your ticket for Friday night. Cork player Aisling Thompson will be the special guest on the night. For the 1981 County Intermedia­te team please let John Fouhy or Ned Dwane know if you will be attending.

COMMITTEES MEETING

A committees meeting took place on Monday night past where a wide range of topics were discussed. This has been a very few busy weeks for the club and there are many exiting projects ahead including our new pitch. People will be able to make contributi­ons to the fund from now on and brochures will be distribute­d shortly to boost the fund. The aim is to be able to have enough to start seeking grant aid for the project.

FESTIVAL COMMITTEE

The annual festival committee are meeting as we speak and there is great anticipati­on for the 10 day event this year which also encompasse­s the Cork’s fittest superstars day in between. Watch out for more details.

RESULTS

All matches were postponed due to weather and the main pitch to be closed for the week until it is reviewed later in the week.

CÚL CAMPS

Details of our annual summer Cúl Camps for the kids will be communicat­ed shortly. Watch out for more details on all our communicat­ions channels.

LOTTO

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot last week. The numbers drawn were 1, 24, 27, 31. The lucky dip winners were Thomas Cremin, Mairead Kelly, Elaine O’Connor, Kieran Hurley, Bridie Caplice, John Fitzgibbon. Jackpot next time is €6,400 and will take place Monday, April 3rd. Thanks for your support as always!

A significan­t number of applicatio­ns for Garda Vetting applicatio­ns submitted by clubs are being rejected by the bureau due to incomplete documentat­ion. The following 3 pieces of informatio­n are required for adult vetting applicatio­ns: Signed Gaelic Games Vetting ID validation form - page 1 only. Proof of current address in the form of a utility bill (no more than 6 months old). Proof of ID (Passport or driver’s licence).

BINGO

There is bingo in the hall Friday night. Home bingo books on sale in the Community office, Post office, Centra Kildorrery, and Maxol Mitchelsto­wn. This week’s snow ball prize is €800. Thank you as always for your support.

Well done to our treasurer Willie Duggan who led CBS Mitchelsto­wn into battle in the All-Ireland final last weekend and emerged victorious.
