Fantastic parade
The club would like to thank everyone who participated in the local Saint Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade was one of the best we’ve ever had in Fermoy and it was fantastic to see such a large turnout despite the inclement weather.
IJKA Ireland is delighted to welcome Latchezar Nenov Sensei and Milena Galabova Sensei from IJKA - Bulgaria, to the IJKA Ireland Hombu Dojo (Fermoy Karate Club’s Ken-bu-Kan Dojo) for a two day technical seminar to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of Kato Sensei’s passing The two day seminar will take place on April 15th and 16th next. There will be two sessions on Saturday 15th, 11am to 1pm, and 2.30pm until 4.30pm. Sunday 16th will have one session only and that is from 11am to 1pm.
The Kato Sensei Memorial Seminar 2003 is open to all clubs and associations and is sure to be a great weekend of training from two of the world’s best karate instructors.
The class on Sunday will also be streamed online via zoom for Karate-Ka worldwide to participate. For sign in details please contact Brian Toomey Sensei on 087-2500783.
Training continues at the usual times every Tuesday and Thursday evening all year round. We have beginners classes every week at all our sessions - first lesson is free! Class times are as follows: junior beginners 7pm to 8pm, advanced juniors and teenagers 8pm to 9pm, and adults all grades 8pm-9.30pm.
Well done to last week’s junior students of the week - Roisín Condon Murray and Chase O’Flynn. Both students were presented with their certificates and medals after their classes. Keep practicing and until next week Osu.
