GLENROE BALLYORGAN COMMUNITY COUNCIL SUMMER DRAW

Glenroe Ballyorgan Community Council are pleased to announce the commenceme­nt of a Bumper Summer Draw. There will be five monthly draws. A draw will take place each month from May to September. The draw will take place on the first Friday of each month in front of a live audience. There are 5 prizes in each draw: 1st prize €500, 2nd prize €200 and three prizes of €100. There will be a special bonus draw with a prize of €250 on the night of the first draw for fully paid subscripti­ons.

Tickets for the draw cost €100 each or a monthly subscripti­on of €20. Tickets will be sold directly by a committee member or online. GLENROE/BALLYORGAN ACTIVE GROUP

A group meeting of the Glenroe/ Ballyorgan Active Group will be held in the hall, Glenroe, on Monday, 24th April. The time frame is 10am to 12noon. The theme on the day will be gardening/ flowers related. Please take note of the change of day.

Chair Yoga takes place every Tuesday morning in the hall at 9.45am. This has been both enjoyable and successful. We will continue until Tuesday, 30th May when we will take a break for summer holidays.

A Spring/Summer day out has been organised for Wednesday, 10th May. We will visit Muckross House, Gardens and Traditiona­l Farm. We will have a light lunch in Muckross at 1pm and dinner on our homeward journey at the Wild Goose Restaurant. The total cost including bus is €90 per person. This looks a great day out so please get your names and money to Mary Coffey, 087-2361786 by:Wednesday, 3rd May.

GLENROE BALLYORGAN PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP

Our Parent and Toddler group meet on the first Friday of every month from 10am- 12pm in Glenroe Hall to play, chat and have some fun and a cuppa.

GLENROE GAA LOTTO

There was no winner of the club lotto jackpot draw of €9,800 on April 6th. The numbers drawn were 4, 6, 9 and 12. Lucky dip winners: Pat Condon, Banard (seller: Nora Sheehy), Liam and Alex McCarthy, Canada (seller: David McCarthy Jnr), John Hayes c/o David McCarthy Jnr (seller: David McCarthy Jnr), Ellie Herr, Knocklong (seller: Collette Frewen), Martin Frewen, Ballyshane (online), Kate Dawson, Emly (seller: Sean Coffey). GLENROE-BALLYORGAN PARISH

Glenroe Church: Saturday at 5pm and Friday morning Mass at 9.30am. Ballyorgan Church: First Sunday of each month at 10am. Monday morning Mass at 9.30am. Your church contributi­on envelopes will go to the relevant church as written on the individual envelope. In Glenroe and Ballyorgan a box is provided in each church for your contributi­on envelope. GLENROE HALL

This is a community facility managed by a voluntary committee and is available for meetings, talks, classes, catering after funerals and social events. All bookings for any of the events to be made through Elaine Carroll who is the key holder on 087-4620571.

CLOTHES BANK

The lovely Blue Clothes Bank is located in Glenroe Church Car Park which can be used by people near and far to recycle their household clothing. Profits from the bin will be given to the Community Council so that they can continue to run events and invest in the local area. It is important to note all clothes, shoes and household clothing will be accepted except duvets and pillows.
