U15s are Féile champions

-

On Saturday, 14th April our U15 footballers travelled to An Rinn to take part in the Féile Football competition to play An Ghaeltacht and Ballyduff in the Div 3 Féile qualifier.

Their first match was against An Ghaeltacht where it ended up all level at 4-4 each. This brought us to the next match where a must win was needed. Cois Bhríde battled hard, the rules were they could not concede 6 points to Ballyduff in this game. They came good to score 1-3 to 4 points.

As a result of this Cois Bhríde did qualify for the Div3 final and travelled to Fraher Field on the Sunday. Awaiting the winners of the Clashmore and St Mollerans game, St Mollerans winning to the good, the final was Cois Bhríde and St Mollerans. It was our lads Cois Bhríde who came out on top on a score of 2-4 to 2 goals, well done to the lads on a hard fought game and a well-deserved win.

We now progress to the regional finals which take place in Kilkenny on 1st July.

Well done to all players, mentors and coaches Eamon Forbes and Peter Morrison. Thanks to the great support who came and cheered on the lads in Fraher Field.

Cois Bhríde notes kindly sponsored by Cunningham’s Hardware, Tallow.
