Barry wins Avondhu Motor competition
Last Friday to Sunday we had the Avondhu Motor Factors competition kindly sponsored by Mick Ennis. There was a great turnout over the weekend and the scoring was excellent. We would like to thank Mike again for his kind sponsorship we wish him and his business all the best in the future. Well done to all that played and also well done to the winners.
Results are as follows - Overall Barry Coughlan 42 nett, Gross John Cahill 42 gross, Ladies Tilly Noonan 48 nett. Well done to Barry on a great score. Barry hasn’t been playing the game long and has the makings of a great player. Barry plays in all competitions and it’s great to see him winning. Keep up the good play Barry.
CATALAN OPEN
The club would like to say well done to Daithi Sexton who came second in the Catalan Open in Spain over the weekend. Daithi shot -6 first round, -4 second round and -5 third round, to finish on -15. Daithi was three shots behind the overall winner who was a local guy. Great play by Daithi and a great achievement. Well done also to Ailish who played over there.
WELL DONE
Well done to Jimmy Quinn on winning the Irene intermediate scratch cup with a score of -3 for 36 holes.
UPCOMING EVENTS
This Friday to Sunday we have a club competition, all scores will be entered into system. Draw times are as follows - Friday 11am and 2.30pm, Saturday 11am and 2.30pm, Sunday 10am and 2.30pm. On Friday night we will have a 2ball scramble at 7pm please support. Also, the presentation of Avondhu Motors will take place. Wednesday morning there will be a game at 10.30. Keep an eye on noticeboard for upcoming events over the next few weeks. Membership is also due.
