National title with a twist for O’Donoghue in the ‘Not So’ Great Ireland Run

-

Willie O’Donoghue was in Dublin last Sunday morning for the running of the national 10k. It was set in the iconic surroundings of Europe’s largest urban area the Phoenix Park which is filled with a rich history and natural beauty.

At 10am the race took off from Furze Road but unfortunately during the race at 2.5k approx the lead car missed a right turn and took the competitors off course, leading the race to be only an 8.6k event. Willie took the national category title in the ran race, but awaits to see what the Athletics Association of Irelands decision on the event will be.
