DUHILL DRAMATIC SOCIETY

The Drama Group held their AGM last week. Officers elected as follows: chairperso­n Pat Rossiter, secretary Lena Ryan, assistant secretary Elaine Doyle and treasurer Claire Morrissey.

BALLYLOOBY/CASTLEGRAC­E GAA DEVELOPMEN­T LOTTO

The lotto from 29/4/23 had no jackpot winner. Numbers drawn: 1, 8, 27 and 29. No match three winners. Four lucky dips: Jackie Grant, David and Eileen Clarke, Paul Burke and John Hayes. Next week’s jackpot is €4,400. The club extend their thanks for your continued support. Tickets available from usual outlets and Clubforce (Ballylooby/Castlegrac­e GAA).

DOM RYAN MEMORIAL TRACTOR RUN

Run is on this Sunday, May 7th in aid of St Theresa’s Hospice Suite, Clogheen. The morning begins with a cake sale in Duhill Hall after Mass at 9.30am. At 1pm tractors, motorbikes and cars will leave Graigue, to Clogheen (passing by St Theresa’s Hospital) to Ballylooby, Kilcommon, turning right at Kilcommon Cross to Tubrid and Duhill. Finishing with music, refreshmen­ts, chat, banter and the massive draw and auction in Duhill Community Hall. Anyone who would like to donate some home baking for both fundraisin­g events, this will be much appreciate­d.

5KM WALK

Walk at 7pm on Friday, May 12th in aid of South Tipp Hospice. From Duhill Hall (E21H677). Donation bucket on the night, light refreshmen­ts and spot prizes. Your support will be appreciate­d. Further info from Eamon O’Gorman 087-2149253.

YOGA

Chi yoga Mondays at 9.45am followed by chair yoga at 12.15. Tai chi at 9.45am on Thursdays.

SYMPATHY

The death occurred of Margaret Ahearn (Peg), late of Garryroan and Cahir. We extend our sympathy to her sister Joan, brother-in-law John, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Peg’s requiem Mass took place in St Kieran’s Church on Saturday, April 29th followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
