CORRIN MART REPORT

We had similar numbers of cattle again this week in Corrin mart. The super trade from last week continued again with excellent demand for all cattle. Perhaps in a few cases prices were not as hot, but in general there was excellent demand. COWS

Good trade for dry cows. Store cows: 400kgs to 550kgs making from €1.40 per kilo to €2.10 per kilo. Heavier cows: 550kgs+ making from €1.80 per kilo up to €2.80 per kilo.

BB 770kg €2,140; Friesians 760kg €1,600; Friesians 625kg €1,210.

BULLOCKS

Good lively trade for bullocks again this week. Light stores: under 350kgs made from €1.65 per kilo for plain Friesians up to €3.20 per kilo for Continenta­l bullocks. With AA/Hereford types making from €2.50 per kilo up to €3.00 per kilo.

Medium stores: 350kgs to 500kgs starting at €2.00 for Friesians up to €3.00 per kilo for Continenta­ls. AA/Hereford bullocks made from €2.40 up to €3.00 per kilo.

Fwd. stores: 500kgs to 600kgs. The plainer Friesians started at €2.30 per kilo up to €2.90 per kilo. Heavy bullocks: 600kgs+: good demand for heavy bullocks making from €2.45 up to €2.85 per kilo.

BB 278gs €870; AA 630kgs €1,730; AA 330kgs €990; Hereford 455kgs €1,220; AA 410kgs €1,160.

HEIFERS

Super trade for heifers. Store heifers: under 400kgs made from €2.20 up to €2.85 per kilo. AA/ Hereford averaged at €2.45 per kilo. Butchers heifers: 400kgs+. These type heifers made from €2.35 up to €3.00 per kilo, with AA/Hereford averaging at €2.50 per kilo.
