Team H league winners
After three weeks of qualifiers the much awaited Corbett Court Sponsored Spring League Final took place on Sunday morning. The club is very grateful to Declan Corbett for his continuous support and sponsorship over the years. The Corbett Court Restaurant is known for its great service anád wonderful food. We ask our members to support Declan and his staff.
Three teams took to the tee boxes, which resulted in Team H - John McCarthy, Derry Walsh, John Walsh, Helen Tobin and Eileen Leonard, coming out on top with a score of 156. Team F - Frank Roche, Christy Murphy, Tom Shanahan, Con Martin and Michael O’Meara were 2nd on a score of 169. Team D - Pat McNamara, Jerry Burke, Seamus O’Connell, Paul Magnier and James Martin were 3rd on a score of 174.
At presentation of prizes chairman Seán Howard welcomed and thanked all who supported the league. Seán congratulated the winners. He thanked the Corbett Court for their sponsorship; he thanked the officers who checked all score cards during the league. He thanked the course management team for having the course in pristine condition. In the 4-ball competition for those not taking part in the league the winners were 1st nett Dan Noonan and Noel Scannell on a score of 38 1/2. Aidan Ahern and Stephanie Dunne were gross winners on a score of 55. Dan Noonan and Seán Hegarty were 2nd nett winners on a score of 44.
Tuesday evening’s 4-ball competition winners with two scores to count at holes number 13, 14 and 15 were Pat Houlihan and Frank Roche on a nett score of 51 1/2. Michael O’Keeffe and Seamus O’Connell were gross winners on a score of 65. Seán Howard and Liz O’Rahilly were 2nd nett winners on a score of 53. Thursday evening’s scotch foursome winners were Seamus O’Connell and Michael O’Meara on a nett score of 42 1/2. Michael Gowen and Frank Roche were gross winners on a score of 56.
Tuesday and Thursday evening’s competitions continue, tee off 6.30pm sharp. Our competition this Sunday is kindly sponsored by Fermoy Print and Design for which we are very thankful. Tee off 10.15am sharp.
