U13s narrow defeat

-

U13 FOOTBALL DIV 1 Cois Bhríde 1-2 Ballinacourty 2-6

Hard luck to our boys who worked so hard to get to another semi-final with a panel of 14, but bowed out to a much improved Ballinacourty team than what we played in the first round of the league. In a match played on 10th May, the teams were level at half time 1-01 apiece but Cois Bhríde had played with the strong wind. Our goal came from Paul Hegarty from a free.

We were under a lot of pressure in the second half but our defence held up well. A ball that rebounded off the crossbar to a Ballinacourty forward which was goaled ten minutes to go, was really the main difference between the teams. Thanks to our mentors for helping and coaching this team and we now look forward to the hurling stage.

Panel: Edward Kalius, AJ Goulding, Bob O’Brien, Darragh O’Donovan, Josh Mangan, David Murphy, Paul Hegarty (1-0), James McDonnell, Oscar Cunningham 0-02, Barra Alian, Oisin Lynn, Jack Dee, Harry Power and Jack Barry.
