Graduation for Presentation Secondary School students

On Wednesday evening last week, as the sun went down, staff of Presentation Secondary School in Mitchelstown gathered together with the family and friends of the 6th Year students for a very special night of celebration. A spokesperson for the school said that the moment was “always a bittersweet one”.

“We are so proud of these wonderful girls and can’t wait to see where their journey takes them, but we will also greatly miss them around the corridors and in our classrooms. We know that their parents feel the same as they dropped their girls off for their last day in secondary school, and we thank them for trusting us to guide, care for, and educate their daughters over the last five or six years.

“We thank their teachers for their time, patience and extensive subject knowledge; behind every successful student is a dedicated and hardworking teacher. We are so proud of the achievements made to date, and wish each and every student the very best of luck in these final days of preparation ahead,” the spokesperson said.

“We would also like to extend our thanks to the students’ year head, Ms Eddrina White, and to their class teachers Ms Fitzgerald and Mr Beer for being their constant support and guide over the last two years. Thanks also to Ms Browne, the LCA 2 coordinator”.
