SENIORS NOW FOCUSING ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP

SENIOR LEAGUE SEMI-FINAL St Catherines 0-5 Sarsfields 2-14

On Monday evening last, a beautiful summer's evening St Catherine's Senior camogie team played Sarsfields in Glanmire in the league semi-final. Our girls started brightly and got the opening score, but Sars had a quick reply and grew in confidence. They went on to dominate the first half.

All the players worked hard in the second half, but unfortunately the gap was too big to breach. Our players now refocus for the championship, knowing what they must do. We wish Sars best of luck in the league final.

U16

The U16 camp is quiet at the moment as a lot of these girls are sitting exams. Training is still taking place twice a week for any girls that want to attend. Nothing like a break from the books to blast a few sliotars! Their league semi-final is set for Tuesday, June 27th in Ballynoe v Sliabh Rua.

U14

Our U14s (2nd team) played Watergrasshill in the league quarter final last Wednesday week. It was a beautiful sunny evening for this home game. Our girls put in a strong performance against a brave and battling Watergrasshill who never lay down. Our girls were determined to win, they gave it their all, tackling furiously and defending bravely, securing their place in the semi-final v Inniscarra in Ballynoe this Saturday. We wish them the very best of luck.

U12

Our U12s hosted St Fanahans for their opening league match last Saturday. It was a very warm afternoon for playing and all of the girls worked very hard throughout. The girls’ hard work in training is really starting to show on the pitch and they are playing so well as a team. Next up in the league is an away game against Kilworth on Saturday.
