Another busy week of camogie

JUNIOR LEAGUE QUARTER-FINAL

On Friday, 19th May our young Junior team made the trip to Clonea/Power for the Junior League quarter final. Unfortunately, the test against a more experienced and older Clonea side proved too much for our new Junior team as the home team ran out comfortable winners on a final score of Clonea 1-17 Ballyduff Upper 0-03.

However, our girls can hold their heads high as they kept fighting all the way with our backs playing some great camogie and our midfielders and forwards working their socks off for the full 60 minutes. Well done girls on a great effort.

That concludes the league competition for our Juniors. Full credit to our girls who gave it everything in all matches - this is our first year competing at adult level so plenty of learnings to take for our girls. Focus now shifts to the Junior Championship in August which gives our girls time to regroup and keep improving over the next few weeks.
