BEST OF THE FAR WEST TOURNAMENT FINAL

Having defeated Shamrocks on a scoreline of 1-21 to 0-10 in last Saturday’s semi-final, Cappoquin will now meet Tallow in the final of our Tournament on Saturday night, June 3rd at 5pm. It promises to be a good game so please get down and support.

I’m sure both management teams would like to bring some silverware home. Some items to note about the tournament Saturday night - parking at the club grounds on Saturday will only be for players, mentors, and disability parking. We are expecting a nice crowd to see the game so the 70 spaces will fill up fast. We are asking locals to walk, if possible, to the field. There will be lots of parking on the school road, Wood View Park and Bride View Close. Mike Kearney will be providing refreshments for supporters. Tell your children bring their hurleys as we will be doing a penalty challenge at half time with Shaun O’Sullivan and Billy Murphy.

On entry a match programme will be provided. Teams will be playing for the Dean Cup and the tournament has been kindly sponsored by Meadow Fresh Foods. Both winners and runners up will be getting vouchers to spend on club gear for their teams for the season ahead. There will be a player of the tournament selected. Entry is €10 and all money raised from this tournament is going towards our field development fund. So please come down and enjoy a night of local entertainment and catch up and chat with local friends.

Please See Cois Bhríde notes for upcoming fixtures and results. The club would like to thank Connor Donnelly for all his hard work in our club grounds over the last year. Well done to Liam Walsh who was a winner for the club in this month’s Déise Draw. Thanks to all who have bought tickets for this year’s Déise draw. Well done to the girls of Tallow Primary school who won their schools camogie county final last Thursday night.
