Junior A league champions
Our Junior A camogie team were crowned League champions on Sunday, 28th May in Ballinlough GAA Pitch. A huge crowd turned out to support our girls in the League final versus Sarsfields Camogie 2.
Throw-in was at 12pm and from the very first ball Castlelyons were ahead. The girls played with great determination and kept their eye on the ball. There were some great passages of play which set up some fine scores.
The next focus for the girls is the Junior A Championship starting later this summer, with the League win secured it will drive the girls on for more. Well done to all players and management involved in Sunday’s final.

U13 LEAGUE
Our U13 team had a successful Imokilly League campaign, winning all three of their group games.
In their group were Midleton, Fr O’Neills and Youghal. Two of the matches were away and the last game was at home. It is great to see this team coming on stronger each week at trainings and they’re a brilliant team to watch on the field. Details of semi-finals to be released.
CASTLELYONS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Castlelyons Development Project is moving along excellently and ahead of target. The work on the new pitch is nearing completion with some massive work done in the last few weeks and it may be ready for mid-September. The walkway is due to commence shortly with fencing, completion of the carpark and the banks about to commence also. Well done to all concerned and thanks for your generous contributions. A lot done and more to do. Ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann na daoine.

We would encourage all our supporters and players to play the lotto weekly. Tickets are only €2 each and with an upcoming jackpot of €20,000, it could be very worth your while playing. The lotto draw plays a huge part in the club’s annual fundraising efforts. All three clubs benefit hugely from the lotto throughout the year.
