It was a great day particularly for Mia Geary, who had her first win in the U16 girls’ race in the national series, although she has been prominent and placed highly in all her races this season.

In the U14 boys’ race Shane O’Brien and James Geary finished in the top 10, as did Dean Sheridan and Colm Geary in the U12 boys’ race. Max McGrath took 4th place in the U10 race, as did his younger brother Ian in the U8s, while Conor McGrath finished strongly in the U6s where all the finishers got a prize.

Among the older cyclists, Tom Cotter finished in the top 10 in the category 4 and Stephen McGrath, making a comeback to racing, took 15th place in the category 3 race. All are now looking forward to the next round of the series which will be in Wicklow on 18th June.
