LAST CHANCE TO JOIN REBELS’ BOUNTY

Ballygiblin Hurling Club would like to thank everyone for their generous support to date with the Rebels Bounty draw for 2024. The Rebels Bounty draw is one of our main sources of income for the day to day running of the club. This has never been more important, as our annual running costs have increased significantly due to the extended season and the increased team/training costs arising from the club’s success. 100% of funds from tickets sales will go directly to Ballygiblin GAA now as we have already passed our target set by Cork GAA. Our club draw promoters who will assist you with entering the draw are Eibhlin O’Brien: 086-8647356, Brian Molan: 086-8053590, Paul Horgan: 087-9787721, Sean Sheedy: 087-9210700 or Paudie Donegan: 086-8342237. The closing date for new or renewing members of the draw is now upon us. Winners for the January/February/March draws will be announced at the end of March 2024.

DEVELOPMENT

We are extremely lucky as a club to have such a loyal group of followers who support us year after year both on and off the pitch. Without this support our efforts to promote hurling in the community would be substantially less effective. Our 2021 and 2022 seasons were unbelievable, culminating in winning the All-Ireland Junior final against Easkey CLG in Croke Park in January 2023. The club is very proud of the team in securing promotion to the Intermediate grade. It’s been a truly amazing and historical time for the club, and we look forward to more success in the years to come.

Ballygiblin GAA are progressing well with the development and expansion of our grounds. These much-needed facilities are essential for the development of our adult and underage teams. This will be a huge boost to our club and will provide surrounding clubs, schools, groups and the local community with access to stateof-the-art facilities. To date, land has been purchased and planning permission has been secured. The aim is to develop an all-weather synthetic playing surface incorporating a hurling wall. The project is expected to cost approximately €500,000, with the hope that work will commence during 2024.
