Killavulle­n 0-14 Deel Rovers 1-5

This was an entertaini­ng Cavanagh's of Fermoy Division 1 FL game at Milford on Sunday.

Exchanges in the first half were very even and Eoin Birchill was in great form for the winners.

Eoin Dillon opened the scoring for the home side. Killavulle­n replied with 4 points from Eoin Birchill (3) and Shane Walsh. The winners’ keeper, Michael Walsh denied Michael Cremin a certain goal in the 17th minute. Eoin Dillon pointed a free, with Seamus O'Mahony replying in the 26th minute. The Milford side had their goal from Anthony Watson after good play by Daire Hannigan, as the sides were level 0-5 to 1-2. Eoin Birchill and Eoin Dillon (free) exchanged late points, as the sides were deadlocked at half-time 0-6 to 1-3.

The winners dominated the third quarter and had six points in succession from Eoin Birchill (4), Cian O'Connor and Colm Carey. Deel Rovers had late points from Eoin Dillon and Pat Watson. Colm O'Mahony completed the scoring. There was no denying Killavulle­n their deserved win.

Best for Killavulle­n on the day were Cian O'Connor, Sean Bartley, Jamie Magner, Liam Fox, Eoin Birchill and Seamus O'Mahony. For Deel Rovers Brian Villiers, John O'Flynn, Anthony Watson, Daire Hannigan and Eoin Dillon did well.
