Easter market and cake sale raises funds for hall refurbishment

-

Glanworth Community Council would like to thank all who supported us in the community centre last Sunday morning at our Easter market and cake sale. This fundraiser was going towards the completion of the heating system. We have the main hall up and running, and heating units for all the rooms purchased, we're nearly there and this is down to the great community support we have received.

We would like to thank all the local businesses who had stalls and gave us some beautiful prizes for the raffle. Another big thanks to all in the community who gave home baking, helped with the teas, selling raffle tickets, donated raffle prizes, and all who kept the market running smoothly. A huge thanks to Glanworth Active Retirement Group who sponsored the adult Easter Bonnet competition, we were overwhelmed with all the entries in both adult and children's categories. Thanks to Martina,

Christof, Will and David, our CE workers, who helped setting up and cleaning up the community centre .

Thanks to TheAvondhu for advertising and publishing all our events and photos.

We're in the planning of hopefully, weather permitting, holding our next cake sale and summer market outdoors. At the time of going to press, we had over €900 raised and money was still coming in. We'll publish the final total as soon as all is in.
