MEMBERSHIP OFFER

Doneraile Golf Club is open for membership. All of us who play know that golf offers so much more. Not only is it a hobby for life, it offers a social outlet as well as a healthy lifestyle option. Membership of a golf club is a great way to be part of the local community and network with other people from the area. A chance to meet like-minded people, forming lifelong friendship­s. We offer a wide variety of competitio­ns, both at weekends and midweek. Being a member gives you the opportunit­y to play when you like and generally as often as you like. GREEN FEES

Doneraile Golf Club is open for green fees with a time sheet in operation. We would be delighted to welcome visitors to our beautiful 9 hole course. Our new tee boxes and bunker layout are open. This has given Doneraile Golf Course a new dimension and challenge for all golfers in this idyllic 9 hole parkland course. Doneraile Golf Club is adjacent to Doneraile Wildlife Park and Annesgrove Gardens are located 10 kms away.

Our facilities are excellent with a buggy to hire at a very competitiv­e price. Pull trolleys are also available to hire. Our green fees include the use of our practice, chipping and putting facilities. Our golf club has a wonderful catering service to enhance your overall visit to our club. PLAY IN PINK WEDNESDAY, 24TH APRIL

Doneraile Golf Club are delighted to host our annual Play In Pink day for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute on Wednesday, 24th April. 18 hole, 3 ball straight scramble . We will have various team prizes on the day including gross. We will also hold a raffle with all money raised going towards breast cancer research. BEALTAINE GOLF CLASSIC, KINDLY SPONSORED BY JOHN CURRAN & SONS CONSTRUCTI­ON LTD

Doneraile Golf Club are holding a fundraisin­g Golf Classic to support the ongoing developmen­t and improvemen­t of our golf course. This will be held over the May bank holiday weekend from Friday, 3rd May to Monday, 6th May. This project will benefit all members and visitors. To ensure that this fundraiser is as successful as possible we would be grateful if you could support us by either sponsoring a team of 3 at a cost of €120 (includes a meal), sponsor a tee for €50 or sponsor a green for €50. LADIES SPRING LEAGUE FINAL, KINDLY SPONSORED BY DONERAILE BRIDGE CLUB

The final of our Ladies Spring League was played last Sunday in atrocious weather conditions.

The two teams competing in the final were team Rachel Kelleher, Daire Power, Eileen O'Donovan, Helen Stafford and Betty O'Connell versus team Karena Hunter, Susan Coakley, Margaret Coakley, Marie Kelleher and Eileen Good. Despite the weather it was a well fought match played in great spirit by both teams, with the honours going to Rachel Kelleher's team. The Spring Cup and prizes were presented by Sinead Coleman and Mary O'Keeffe from Doneraile Bridge Club. Sincere thanks to Doneraile Bridge Club for their generous sponsorshi­p and continued support of our Club.

GENTS SPRING LEAGUE FINAL, KINDLY SPONSORED BY DONERAILE BRIDGE CLUB

The final of our Gents Spring League was played in terrible weather conditions last weekend.

The two teams competing in the final were team John Hickey, James O'Mahony, Joseph O'Keeffe, Jim Doody and Pat McCarthy versus team Patrick Enright, Pat O'Donovan, Sean Cole, TJ Crowley and Willie Sweeney. After a hard fought battle with great golf and banter, team John Hickey were the winners of the Spring League for 2024. The Spring Cup and prizes were presented by Sinead Coleman and Mary O'Keeffe representi­ng Doneraile Bridge Club. Sincere thanks to Doneraile Bridge Club for their generous sponsorshi­p and continued support.
