Synergy CU to host free Cyber Safety presentati­on for parents

Synergy Credit Union is committed to empowering parents and guardians to keep their children safe online. In response to growing concerns about cyber safety for pre-teens, Synergy Credit Union is hosting a free informativ­e session titled: ‘Empowering Safer Children Online’.

This essential presentati­on will take place on Wednesday, April 24th at 7pm at the Fermoy Community Youth Centre. Space is limited, so parents with children aged 8-13 are encouraged to register as soon as possible:

The session will be led by expert trainer Ann Harte from CyberSafeK­ids (https://www.cybersafek­ids.ie/) and feature a short talk on cyber security by Community Garda Conor Gately.

Parents and guardians will gain valuable insights on: Popular apps and protecting privacy; Recognisin­g areas of online risk; Strategies for digital wellbeing and critical thinking; Valuable resources to keep children safe online.

This presentati­on provides essential tools and knowledge for parents and guardians to help keep their pre-teens safe online.”

Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of Synergy Credit Union membership. Parents and guardians in the Fermoy area and surroundin­g villages are encouraged to register for this informativ­e event. This invitation has also been sent to local schools and community groups.
