A reminder that our President’s Prize is due to be played on Monday, 22nd April with the annual dinner and prizegivin­g on Friday, 26th April in The Firgrove Hotel. It is always a wonderful evening and an opportunit­y to let our hair down and have fun together. The cost is €55 for the game and dinner, €40 for dinner only, €20 for game only so do come along.

Our annual ladies competitio­n was played, on Monday, 4th March, this competitio­n is for teams of four and only open to women club members. Congratula­tions to Ger Mason, Kay Gardiner, Nora O’Driscoll and Marian Baker our winners on the night.

The Hammer Competitio­n was played against Cork Bridge Club on Tuesday, 26th April in the Club, unfortunat­ely Fermoy retained the Hammer but by all accounts a great night was had by all. Many thanks to all who helped organise the night and those that provide the ‘eats’ on the night.

The Club Cup was played on Monday, 25th March, congratula­tions to all who participat­ed and especially our winners Eileen O’Sullivan and Josie Drislane.

It was with deep regret that we heard of the death of Pat O’Leary. Pat was a very esteemed member of the club and played for many years, always great fun to play with or against. May she rest in peace.
