Away games this weekend
Mitchelstown footballers will be on the road this weekend with both the first and second teams travelling for fixtures.
On this Saturday evening, April 14 the second string, fresh from their win over Grange will travel to Churchtown to take on Liscarroll Churchtown Gaels in the Cavanagh’s of Fermoy division 3 football league, with throwin at 5pm. On Sunday morning, April 15 we will travel to top of the table Buttevant in the McCarthy Insurances division 5 football league with throw-in at 11.30am.
MITCHELSTOWN GAA LOTTO
The lotto draw held on Thursday night, April 4 in Tod’s Bar had the following numbers drawn 4, 5, 24 and 25. There was no winner, with the following winning €50 spot prizes; Susan O’Donoghue c/o Suzsa, Orla Hennessy Ballygiblin online and Mike Fan Keane c/o Paul Roche’s Bar. Next draw in Dexy’s Bar on Thursday, April 18 with a jackpot of €3,600. Tickets can be purchased by logging on to mitchelstowngaa.com or at numerous retail outlets in town.
SPRINGSTEEN AT SUPERVALU PÁIRC UÍ CHAOIMH
Mitchelstown GAA are giving you the chance to win a pair of tickets to the above plus €100 to spend on the night. Tickets priced at €5 each or a book of three for €10 are now on sale or can be purchased on Clubforce. Second prize is two premium tickets to Cork and Limerick in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship on Saturday, May 11th with third prize two premium tickets for Cork and Clare in the same competition on Sunday, April 28th. The draw will take place on weekend of April 21 with time, date and venue to be confirmed.
LAST MAN STANDING
Congratulations to former club officer and present Avondhu chairman, John Courtney, on winning the players’ last man standing competition. John successfully picked a winning team for seven consecutive weeks to win the prize.
