Good result
St Dominics U14 footballers took on St Kevins on Wednesday 3rd last in Ballyclough. The lads played well in difficult conditions.
Colm Walsh had a strong game in centre back with Eoin Sheedy playing well in the half forward line. The St Dominics side lead 1-04 to 1-01 at half-time. The lads pushed on in the second half with substitutions adding great play. Joe McGrath was dominant in fullback, with the backs keeping St Kevins scoring to a minimum. Christian Connolly in midfield was a goal scorer on the night as well as Luke O’Donnell. James O’Keeffe in corner forward won some great ball and created lovely scores.
St Dominics had a good win on a final score of 2-08 to 2-02.
U18 HURLING
Our U18 hurlers got off to a good start in the league with a comprehensive victory over Newmarket on Wednesday evening week in Shanballymore. After a slow start the lads began to get to grips with the game midway through the opening half and led at half time by 1-09 to 1-02. We started the second half strongly and never gave Newmarket a chance to get back into the game.
We were on top everywhere and ran out comfortable winners in the end. Final score St Dominics 1-23 to Newmarket 1-03.
U12 HURLERS DAY IN CROKE PARK
Our U12 hurlers headed to Croke Park last Tuesday for a club day blitz. The lads headed off on a bus with supporters and were lucky enough to get a tour of the GAA museum and the dressing rooms. The lads had a fantastic day out and did their club proud. Well done lads, a day which will be remembered and talked about by the lads forever!
