Succesful Easter Camp

-

On behalf of Club na nÓg we would like to sincerely thank Conor Moriarty and his team of coaches from both the men’s and ladies’ club, who volunteered their time to organise and run this year’s hugely successful Galtee Gaels Easter Camp. Despite the poor weather and muddy conditions, great fun was had by all and hopefully some picked up a new skill or two along the way also. This bunch of coaches are brilliant role models for the kids and we wish them all the very best in their endeavours on the field of play this year.

A big thanks also to all who helped out over the two days with traffic management and supervision etc. We would also like to thank Ollie Coffey who helped out, bringing with him his huge knowledge and experience of running a successful football camp. Lastly but not least we would like to thank all the parents for sending their kids and supporting this fundraising initiative for the club.

LIMERICK V CORK SENIOR TEAM

Delighted to see Bob and Tommy Childs representing Limerick when they took on Cork in the first round of the Championship last Sunday. As a club, we were delighted to see our club member, Conall Ryan who was representing Limerick at half-time in the senior game at Páirc Uí Chaoimh as well as Aoife Noonan who was representing the ladies club. Well done guys, the future is bright.

MR BINMAN U17 FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Galtee Gaels took on our neighbours Ballylanders on Wednesday, 3rd April in the most horrendous conditions both overhead and underfoot. This year both Sean Casey and Eoin McNamara are helping out coaching this team as well as John Quane and Martin Casey. All the extra training paid off and our lads came out on top.

Conor McNamara scored a great goal in the first half with help from brothers William and Maurice Fitzgerald. Paul Quane got a great point from play. As always Jack Prendergast played a great game in goals and saved some great shots. A very positive start to the season for this team and looking forward to the matches scheduled. Final score 1-9 Gaels 0-7 Ballylanders.

Limerick Minor football v Tipperary was held in Fethard on Tuesday , 2nd April. Our club was represented by Sean O'Donnell and Sean Gallahue. Both the lads did the club proud and a great representation from the club were present on the night. Well done lads. This team have another game this week in Ballygran and Eoghan Fitzgerald will step up and represent Galtee Gaels. Best of luck Eoghan.
