Captains' Drive-in deferred

-

The sunshine teased us on Sunday. The captains and president should have been enjoying a wonderful day, hosting club members and friends and marking the official start of a good golf season ahead. However, Storm Kathleen and the preceding rains put the brakes on and the wise decision to defer Drive-in Day to Sunday, 5th May was made on Wednesday night.

The coming week commences with a clean-up of debris on the course and then, again, hope and prayers for dry weather, on a continuous basis.

FIND THE GOLF BALL DRAW

Jack Hughes was the winner of the weekly €20 prize, his envelope, numbered 23, was drawn but did not have the lucky golf ball. Jackpot will be valued next week at €1,140 and the draw will take place on Saturday afternoon, 13th April.

Thank you to everyone who supports the Find the Golf Ball draw. Your support last year resulted in a cosy stove for the Bar/Restaurant area and additional improvements to the kitchen.
