Cork’s Fittest Superstars launch

Recently we held the launch of Cork’s Fittest Superstars, it took place from 6pm to 8pm and as we saw from last year this was a very popular event. The launch was an opportunit­y to meet the teams and to get to meet the main man himself, Davy Fitzgerald and ask him a few questions. He certainly delivered.

Our Juvenile and Ladies Club held meetings on Monday night. A range of elements were discussed at both.

Delighted to announce that our GAA hall renovation project has been awarded €10k in grant aid through Cork County Council community projects. This will be hugely helpful as we aim to improve our facilities. Huge thanks to Ned Dwane, our strategic sourcing expert, for managing this. Thanks also to our local councillor­s who supported the effort.

PITCH OPENING

The pitch is open this week subject to weather. Matches are to be prioritise­d and training drills to be scheduled on other areas where possible. Thanks for bearing with the club.

MUNSTER HURLING CHAMPIONSH­IP TICKETS

All tickets for the upcoming Munster Senior Hurling Championsh­ip matches have now been distribute­d to those who applied. There will be a money collection evening in the club rooms this Friday for those who applied and received tickets, from 6-7pm. As was outlined when applicatio­ns opened, these tickets must now be paid for. Please have cash/ cheque in an envelope labelled with name, amount of tickets paid for and amount of cash to be paid. Alternativ­ely, money can be paid directly into the club account using the following IBAN: IE70 BOFI 9029 4421 3233 00. Please write your name on the sender note when sending. Prices for the tickets are as follows: Cork v Waterford adult €25, student/ OAP €20, juvenile €5, Cork v Tipp/Clare/Limerick Adult €30, student/OAP €25; juvenile €5. Thanks.
