Over €5.6k presented following Noah Quish Road Run
On Wednesday evening last, members of the Morning Star Vintage Club in Ballylanders gathered in the village park to present a cheque totalling €5,690 to Avril
Toomey Sheehan, coordinator of the Noah Quish Road Run fundraiser.
Setting out from Ballylanders on Sunday, April 14, the club held its fundraiser in aid of young Noah Quish from Monaleen, county Limerick, as he was prepar
ing to travel abroad for treatment.
“Well-known photographer Stevie O'Donnell was on hand to capture the moment. We also enjoyed the lovely tea and biscuits out in the open on a lovely sunny evening supplied by the village park committee. Many thanks for your kind gesture," a spokesperson for Morning Star Vintage Club said.
“We thank the Ballylanders GAA for the use of their facilities for the event and other fundraisers over the past few years which helped us to raise in excess of €20,000 for local charitable causes. Without those facilities and the support of the local community, we would not be able to achieve this figure”.
Thanks were extended to Tracy and her team for looking after the catering and selling raffle tickets, Mary and Edel for manning the registration and Siobhan and Bridie for looking after the raffle.
Many sponsors who were so generous and main sponsors, Mitchelstown Credit Union, were also thanked.
“We would not have reached our target of €5,690. We thank you
most sincerely on behalf of Noah, his parents John Joe and Una and sister Leah. Thanks to our road marshals, stewards, TVR Tipperary, Daycare centre, village park, Mikey Daly for the use of his land, Noah and his blue
heroes who looked after the traffic management," the spokesperson said.
“As I am sure by now most of you know that Noah has had spinal surgery in Crumlin and is at home and is very well
as he waits for further surgery in America later. We wish him well in the future”.
Condolences were also offered to Tom and the McGrath family, on the death of Pat.
