Juvenile medals presentation
On Saturday, 20th April victorious underage teams from the past year were presented with their medals for winning western and county titles. On the night the U11 hurling team, U13 football team, U14 hurling team and also the U15 hurling team were all presented with their awards. There was
a special guest on the night, current Waterford senior hurler and former hurler of the year nominee, Stephen Bennett, who presented the medals to the boys. It’s great to see the hard work being put in by the underage coaches in the club paying off and hopefully more success will follow these teams in years to come.
JERSEY PRESENTATION TO FORMER SPONSORS
On the same night as the medal presentation there was also a presentation made from the club to former sponsors of jerseys, after their jerseys had been recently retired to make way for newer, more modern jerseys. Liam Power received a framed jersey to thank him for his sponsorship of a set of jerseys that were used for many years for underage teams at U14 and U16 in both football and hurling. Tom and Sham Hyland received framed jerseys as a sign of gratitude towards their father who sponsored a set of jerseys for the U10 and U12 hurling teams. Finally, on the night Pad Flynn was presented with his framed jersey to thank him for his many years of sponsorship of the club. The set of jerseys Pad sponsored were used by the minor, U21 and adult teams with great distinction, with many the title being won along the way in the colours.

JUVENILE RESULTS AND FIXTURES
Hard luck to the U15 footballers who played 2 games in the space of four days last week against St Pats and Cois Bhríde but unfortunately came out on the wrong side of the result on both occasions. They played an Erins Own/Ferrybank amalgamation on Wednesday, 1st of May.
Well done to the U12 hurlers who played Ballygunner last week and won the match. They will now turn their hand to football this week as they play St Olivers down in Ballinameela on Friday, 3rd May at 6.30pm.
Congratulations to the Ballyduff Upper U10s hurling team who were invited to play in and subsequently won the O'Gorman hurling competition in Lismore where joint captains Shay Mills and Fionn Noonan accepted the shield from the O'Gorman family. A massive thank you to Lismore for hosting an excellently run hurling event.
